Alison Doody

Alison Doody was born in Dublin on the 26th of June, 1966. She is from an upper-class family. Doody is the youngest of three children. She studied in a nunnery where she developed an appreciation in the arts. She later studied at an institution called the National College of Fine Arts in Dublin however, she left as she was not motivated and thought she would be able to take a few years off to think it out. While sitting with her friends in a caf where a photographer walked in, she was requested if she'd like to become a model. Because she thought she could earn some cash modeling, she agreed. In no time, she began working professional as a model. Modeling contracts led to commercials, and she was able to travel the globe. An agent noticed the work she was modeling and encouraged her to take up acting. She was sent to London aged 19 and was quickly selected for an audition for the upcoming James Bond film, A View to a Kill (1985). It was because she loved acting that she considered pursuing a career this direction. The first film she appeared in was followed by two more of TV dramas shot in London as well as Dublin. Her breakthrough came in 1989 as she played the role of Aryan Seductress, Dr. Elsa Schneider, in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Alison Alison Alison
